Wow this was a pleasant surprise.
I have never heard this song. But then… I live under a rock —->.
It was a song that was to the point politically and how I often think these days. Hmm, especially after seeing Pence look through the fence at the border with a look of total detachment toward suffering. Meh, life means nothing to them. Poor. Suffering. We are bugs. We aren’t in their orbit.
But enough of this cheery talk.
I had an inkling to nostalgically go through some Barbra Streisand music this morning while working on an article (I write content for a living these days for extra cash) and this started playing in the background. I had a playlist and was just singing along and this song came on I hadn’t heard before from Babs.
“Babs, baby, why didn’t you tell me you had this wonderfully poignant piece of music?”
I clicked back to the YouTube playlist and watched the entire thing. Hopefully, you’ll watch this and I welcome your opinions… unless they are different than mine. Hah, nah I’m kidding… or, am I? 😉
I actually just wanted to catch some of the Barry Gibb and Donna Summer’s collaborations (I loved Barbra Streisand during the disco days singing along with those two), and then her older show tunes, or some Yentl songs, and various 60’s, 70’s, and early 80’s movie songs. You know, the usual Barbra gambit of vocal glory?
Whether you are politically active or not, it doesn’t really matter. I think if you read my blog you know I don’t especially like our Commander-in-Orange. And the reason being because he lies… like almost always. I mean, he uses hyperbole like it’s one of the food groups necessary to live. Everything is “Yuge” or the “Greatest EVER!” And he is always the “BEST” in anything and everything. He talks about “sending her back” without considering his wife isn’t originally from America.
Am I being superfluous?
Anyway, I hope you all are having a great day, please enjoy the song, and good searching my friends! 🙂
Goodnight Blue 😉
