I think I missed the deadline for the Storyteller UK contest on Amazon. I guess we’ll see if that is good or bad. Of course, I might have made the deadline. No banners fell or no emails came that told me I was in the contest, despite me placing the book there right around midnight on August 31st. I’m just not sure.
It’s all up in the air.
“This is a small story of love, friends, adventure and a world that will grow larger and larger with each book in the series. This is the Wonderful Whimsy series. Please join Peeps with her crazy head of hair and 30,000 watt smile, and her beloved BP, and best friend, Fluff-Foo as they traverse across the world of Wisks and Whimsy.”
I’d love to know your thoughts on this little book. I think it can be read in around one to two hours. Thank you ahead of time. If you like it please buy the actual paperback book and support this starving artist – despite me not really starving as of yet.
But I might starve next week.
I’m not sure.
Anyway, I’ve just about finished Book Two, but now I want to go back to Book One and place all the illustrations. I draw poorly, but I still enjoy drawing my own little characters and such for my book.
Take a gander of this cover that I quickly whipped up and let me know if it scares you.
What do you think? Is it like a wall of horror that makes you not want to bother to open the book and read on?
I used this program on my phone that my son told me about, ibisPaintx, and it’s for free. You just need to watch an ad and it gives you access to all the pens and such for 18 hours. I’ve been having some fun with it this week. Of course, I drew this in time for the deadline, and when my son woke up he told me how to change the colors – of which, I did not know – and so it has some lame coloring for the tree because there were only four green color choices, but then he showed me the palette had myriad green choices but I would have to click this one section and I didn’t know so now, I’ll have to do it over again.
But yeah, you live and learn.
Anyway, please consider reading my small book of whimsy and placing a review.
My other book of poetry and autobiographical limerick strewn throughout, is still available at Amazon: One Small Glimpse. I would love some peeps to read that and give me some honest reviews. (I also did that poor illustration you see for the book cover.) Thank you so much.
It is also available in paperback for purchase at Amazon, and with that purchase you automatically get the free Kindle version. That would be here:
Please look it over and I’d love a review. Am I self-promoting too much?
I hope you all are having a wonderful day of kindness. It is Labor Day here in the U.S. I’m taking it easy and writing a blog.
What do you all do on your day off? Do you write? Travel? See family and friends?
Please feel free to tell me in the comments. I hope you are all having a great day of love and life and good searching! 🙂 Goodnight Grace 🙂 ❤
A Small In-between Poem from my first book, One Small Glimpse
Depression has a way of sneaking in
When you least expect it…
At least, one day it was here
And I had no idea what to do with it
So, I asked him to stay, and rest, and play
And then, it overtook the premises
Made desserts and pasta,
Leaving my kitchen in a mess
Until I almost lost it…
