The Beginning of Christmas Songs

Winter Wonderland and Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! have a common theme of wintry and lovely snow.

That is what I think of with those two songs.  Now, Up on the Housetop (sorry Ang, I think that’s the actual title and not rooftop) reminds me a bit more of Santa Claus. The version I remember from the 60’s as a kid was the Gene Autry version, and so I’ll place that one last.

There is nothing like a fantastic voice backed by a top notch orchestra.  You really don’t hear music like this any more.

First up is Winter Wonderland.

Second we have Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! and my favorite version of this song.

Nobody sings them quite like Frank Sinatra in his hey day.

This is one of my fave songs that I will always sing along to:

Happy Holidays everyone, and now for that silly and fun Up on the Housetop.

I used to have this version when I was a kid.  I like that this one has the sing-a-long lyrics.

Enjoy and hope your day is filled with fun and good searching! 😀

Goodnight Grace! 🙂 ❤

  1. Haha! I think you may be right about the title. For the life of me I just couldn’t remember which one it was. So I had to google it and both titles came up 😀 Or perhaps it depends on who sings it?
